At the end of last year, Nielsen Online released their second Australian Property Search Report.*

The report details that the majority of property buyers look to websites when searching for property.

Over the past two years online usage has increased, with the report stating that interest in property websites  has reached an all time high.

Just under 9 in 10 (87%) of property buyers utilise the internet for property research and selection.

Similarly, 85% of renters also use the internet.

Nielsen also states that the importance of word-of-mouth referral has also grown over the past two years, particularly among renters.
